“It was a memorable first impression of a terrific band that I have subsequently followed with great delight.”

“…I was extra early [to see Tupelo Honey] and was immediately impressed with the band members. Friendly, relaxed and very welcoming. I was quickly touched by Jim Schulze’s persona and gracious countenance. [My wife], Sue, had not actually heard the band play previously, and therefore I was not sure what to expect. I introduced myself to Jim, Louise, and Dave after being asked, “Who are you and why are you here so early?”  A few minutes later in strolls Jim Gordon, and I then knew for sure that I was in for some great music. The previous winter I had seen Jim perform at the Spire Center in Plymouth Harbor at a Jazz night jam session.

It was a memorable first impression of a terrific band that I have subsequently followed with great delight. Their enthusiasm blended multi-instrument talents; seemingly effortless harmonizing is wonderful to witness. I cannot remember a band enjoying playing together as much as Tupelo Honey. A fabulous summer evening of delightful music was cut short when the courtyard sprinkler system went off during the shop. ‘Oops’ is all you could say.” -Greg

“…the band continues to evolve and expand their repertoire ~ that is one of the many things I love about them.”

“Over the last 3 years, I have had many memorable occasions to be entertained by Tupelo Honey, and I love them all. And I must say, the band continues to evolve and expand their repertoire ~ that is one of the many things I love about them.

Perhaps my favorite memory is the evening that they played at the Stonebridge Club in the Pinehills. This was an inside event for charity; the South Coast Food Bank. The band was on fire, and it was obvious that all 4 band members were ‘in the groove’ and having a blast. It was such an awesome evening and everyone had a GREAT time.” -Joanne

“Tupelo Honey has played for PHLOA events on several occasions, and each time, we’ve received calls asking to have them back.”

“As Director of Program Development and Events for the Pinehills Landowners Association (PHLOA), I work with residents to create engaging programs for the community. Tupelo Honey has played for PHLOA events on several occasions, and each time, we’ve received calls asking to have them back. Their performances are fun, spirited, and appeal to all sorts of people. Not to mention—the band is a pleasure to work with! Cooperative, adaptable, and friendly.” -Sheila
